A lot of people have asked me: Why Dragon Tree. The answer to that is very simple on the one hand but also very meaningful to me on the other hand.
Dragon trees are absolutely fascinating but also, I love Trees and I love the idea of Dragons. Not the destructive side of course. But in this world, everything positive also has something negative. Dragons stand for strength, wisdom, good fortune and energy. When I was a child, my dream was to travel the world and find a dragon. Obviously I know, they are fantasy creatures, but I do not ever want to lose the imagination that I had as a child. In my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than the creativity, curiosity and ideas of a child´s mind. As long as we remember our dreams we will never loose ourselves. I finally made it to China a few months ago, over Chinese New Year and I guess somehow, I did find a Dragon as it´s the Year of the Dragon. So, dreams do come true.
The best way to describe myself is a quote of Jorge Luis Borges: “I saw all the mirrors on earth and none of them reflected me.”
